Over the summer I
decided to create a scarf for my cousins birthday, I first had to decided and
what type of scarf to create, after I thought about it I decided to create a
Union Jack on because my cousin really likes the Union Jack flag. I found it
hard at first when I started thinking about how I could put it all together, but
when I started to create it I found I have a few problems with the stitching
side and the colour of the stitches colours I was going to uses. After I found
the colour threads I stared creating it.
The first step I
did was cut the blue fabric and stich the sides so it would be tidy.
Then I decided to
start looking at the red and white colours of the Union Jack flag and started
with the white, I first started by cutting it and stitching the white fabric
then I cut the red fabric smaller than the white and stitched the red fabric on
the white to create the stripes.
For the final
pieces I stitched the strips to the blue fabric to create the flag and this is
the outcome-
Looking back on the scarf i feel i could of checked the length it as it was too long but i did enjoy doing it as well as i feel i should of made it wider as it wasn’t that wide. But overall i really enjoyed creating it.
