29th Noverber 2012 Final Work!

This is my final outcome of a project I’ve just completed, I had to create two pieces of clothing with I decided to create dresses, I used screen printing to create them and I also used stitch to work into them, I decided to stick with the colours purple, blue and red.

These are what my final designs look like.

Union Jack Scarf

Over the summer I decided to create a scarf for my cousins birthday, I first had to decided and what type of scarf to create, after I thought about it I decided to create a Union Jack on because my cousin really likes the Union Jack flag. I found it hard at first when I started thinking about how I could put it all together, but when I started to create it I found I have a few problems with the stitching side and the colour of the stitches colours I was going to uses. After I found the colour threads I stared creating it.

The first step I did was cut the blue fabric and stich the sides so it would be tidy.

Then I decided to start looking at the red and white colours of the Union Jack flag and started with the white, I first started by cutting it and stitching the white fabric then I cut the red fabric smaller than the white and stitched the red fabric on the white to create the stripes.

For the final pieces I stitched the strips to the blue fabric to create the flag and this is the outcome-

Beach!..

These are picture of a beach I went to with my family; we have a great day and had loads of fun. The sun was shining and the sea was nice and calm. We went swimming and we also exploded the caves to see if we could find anything....

This is one of the caves we exploded and we found old train parts under rocks and sand...

We spent the full day at the beach and had a great fun and laughs alone the way.

Kate Usher

I decided to add Kate Ushers work to my blog because I feel in love with a few piece of her work I really enjoyed looking at her website and doing a bit of research on her.  I really like all the work she has created but out of them all these were my favourite ....

'Turtle, Turtle'
I really like this piece of work because of the images she uses in her work and the detail in the images as well. I also like the colour she has added to background they are very calming colours and it goes really well with the images.

'Mr Meerket'
I like this piece of work because of the colours she has used, I like how she has kept to browns to create this piece of work I also like the images that she has added I feel it goes really well with the background and the colours. I find the images she has used very detailed as well.

'Jungle'
I find that this work standouts more than the others because of the colour she uses. Unlike the other two they are calming colours, but with this work I feel the colours standout because she has used bright greens and yellow to create it plus with the images she has used makes it more interesting to look at.
